6 MORE QUESTIONS WITH ADAM GREEN

A year ago we met up with Adam Green director of Hatchet and producer of Grace as he was wrapping up his very cold shoot of Frozen, now that Frozen is ready to freeze the world we caught back up with mister Green and here are 6 more questions!

Number 1 When we last spoke you were covered in snow in Frozen, how do you feel about the finished product and cold experience?

FROZEN is definitely my proudest moment and the best film I’ve made so far. The horrifically difficult experience of shooting it paid off in the final product as it is quite clear in the movie that the actors are really living through the experience. They are clearly suffering from the elements, they are really stranded high up in the sky, they are going through real torrential storms, and they are truly terrified. I’m so glad that we chose to shoot it all practically as on a sound stage or against a green-screen it never would have been the same. Movie fans are too sophisticated and too smart to be fooled by cheap and phony effects, though for some reason Hollywood seems to think that they can keep getting away with that shit. I‘ve had so many industry people tell me that I was insane to shoot FROZEN the way I did and that most audiences wouldn’t be smart enough to know the difference if it had been on a nice warm stage or not. I vehemently disagree and I think that this experience shows beyond a reasonable doubt that I am willing to earn the respect of my audience, not just take it for granted and phone it in. I just recently showed the actors the finished film for the first time, and I can’t tell you what a relief it was to have Emma Bell hug me, almost in tears, and just say “thank you.” I’m so glad that they’re all proud of the film as if they had been disappointed with it, I would have been in deep, deep shit after putting them through such hell!

Number 2 The internet? What a fucked up thing huh? You get named dropped all over the net because of your videos on the net. Tell us how much fun girls with light sabers was to film and your relationship with Paul Solet who appears in your Halloween short Jack Chop.

Here you go with the whole- “OK Green, I’m just gonna ask you six questions”- but then you try to slide extra questions in and think I won’t notice. Douche! Just because of your shady question shenanigans I now won’t tell you all of the explicit details about the threesome that I had with the SABER girls and I’ll only tell you that making SABER was seriously wicked fun. Forget all of the other shit I’ve done, to make something that was nothing more than a selfish way to make my innermost geek dreams come true- and then have it literally explode on-line with well over a million hits on Youtube and my own site (www.ariescope.com)- , not to mention to have it be awarded TWO sets of Golden Droids at Comic-Con from George Lucas himself… I mean, what is cooler than that?!

"Editor note... Uhhh nothings cooler"

Oh, and I’m sure you realize that I’m kidding about the threesome. It’s common knowledge that Rileah (the Jedi) and I are engaged and that Clare (the Sith) is dating Seth Green who is going to promptly stab me in the balls for making that joke. Actually no he won’t- he’ll think it’s funny, too. Go ahead and print it. We all just went to Vegas together for Rileah and Clare’s birthday and if the threesome didn’t happen there- then it just isn’t going to happen. No group sex in this group of friends, unfortunately.

And as for Paul Solet, he’s just some derelict that I found on the streets of Cambridge eating Dunkin’s, robbing pharmacies, and shooting O.C.’s. That JACK CHOP thing we did for Halloween isn’t even a joke. It’s all true. He really is that guy. We just dressed him up and taught him how to speak properly for all of the GRACE promotional stuff he had to do. But he’s really fahkin’ retahded, kid.

Number 3 Just in time for Halloween, I am watching a cheesy horror movie every day in October, what’s your favorite Halloweenesque flick that I should watch.

My top 5 Halloween movies are: HALLOWEEN 3 (SEASON OF THE WITCH), WALT DISNEY’S LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW, TRICK R TREAT (2009), IT’S THE GREAT PUMPKIN CHARLIE BROWN (not a movie but still required viewing n my house every year), and JOHN CARPENTER’S HALLOWEEN.

Number 4 Last we spoke you were working on some cartoon projects, what's the deelio on that these days? Get your ass in on that new Heavy Metal movie :)

I recently was hired to write the animated AQUAMAN movie for Warner Brothers/D.C. Comics but I have no clue as to what the production status is on that. I’m told that since WONDER WOMAN didn’t perform as well as they hoped that now they are going to concentrate only on BATMAN and SUPERMAN animated films again and pass on the other characters. Maybe if GREEN LANTERN performs well it will get AQUAMAN made, but we all know that Aquaman isn’t exactly the most popular of D.C.’s characters so we’ll have to just wait and see. I just have to move on and hope for the best. I really liked that project though. A lot.

Number 5 What’s next for you, simple as that, what's next for Mister Green?

Well I just finished FROZEN a week ago and now I have several months of appearances and promoting to do between now and FROZEN’ winter theatrical release. But because I like to burn the candle from at least four or five different ends and because I hate sleeping or having any sort of personal life, I have also already begun work on a TV pilot called COFFEE & DONUTS (based on my life and my first indie film of the same title) which I will be writing, directing, producing, and starring in. We’re making it like how they make CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM where it’s going to be a lot of improv type stuff. My co-star is Joe Lynch (WRONG TURN 2 director) who starred with me in the ten ROAD TO FRIGHTFEST shorts that we made together over the last two years. More news on that is coming once the network makes their own official announcement, so right now that’s all I can offer up for details. It’s just a pilot right now- so who knows if it will even get a full series pick up or ever make it to air. I don’t expect any answers on that until early next year, but we shoot it in a few short weeks so I am in crunch time. There’s also a bunch of big projects that I am in talks for and considering, not to mention that whole HATCHET sequel that everyone is waiting for.

Number 6 Well gotta say it Hatchet 2... yeah yeah blah blah... well what's the update? Victor Crowley is still weeping in the woods.

HATCHET 2 is going to have to shoot next year with or without me. The powers that be have waited very patiently for my schedule to clear and for me to be ready, but at this point it’s in everyone’s best interest (and the fan’s interest) to get it underway. Trust that I so very much want to be the one in the driver’s seat if I can be. I owe it to the fans that made the first one such a success and essentially made my career take off. But until I can figure out how to clone myself, there’s just no way I can be in so many places at once and do a good job. I’m in very serious talks about returning to HATCHET and my team, my reps, and I are doing everything we can to make the other projects work around it. If I come back I want to come back with a vengeance- not as a side project that’s rushed between my bigger ones. I’d rather pass the torch and threaten the new guy’s life not to fuck it up than be the one who makes a half-assed HATCHET 2. Again, we shall see. And on this one- we shall fortunately see very, very soon.

Well Adam again Thanks in Advance , your more then just a guy with a cool name, and yes I know my questions are several questions in one, oh and P S my girlfriend says after watching Jack Chop she says she wants to kiss Paul and if he is available.... I don’t know .... she just stole the keyboard.

Paul Solet’s got a girl he’s sweet on right now, but like I said- he’s a Boston accent speaking, Jack Chop wielding, homeless dude in real life- so offer him up some Dunkin Donuts, take him to Cumberland Farms, buy him some Strawberry Quick, and help him score some vicodin and I think your girlfriend has got a fighting chance to not only catch Paul, but also crabs.

Editor note: Well Thanks again Adam, I feel oddly itchy, aaanyways everyone Check out http://www.ariescope.com/ for Greens videos and check out the American Douchebags in London, sooo well done.

Awesome frozen shot movies of Clowns and Cops

6 Questions with So Sick Social Club

Just another hatchet off the lotus leaf bitches. Hey freaks and geeks it's yer geek god Riot here, thought it was time to chat with some more messed up fuckers and these freaks got it going on. SO Sick Social club is playing the opening part for the After Dark Film fest in my home town and later in the month with be playing with all the horror leg humpers at the Festival of Fear, The So Sick crew not how to tear beats a new one and leave the stage bloody. So I did as I usually do I threw out 6 stupid questions with Riot at them.

1 Toronto hip hop? Being part of a hip hop scene is starting a family an army of talent some may say. How fuckin hard is that to do in a city like Toronto Canada?

CHRIS SO SICK: The scene is in full effect in Toronto. It is very segregated however. It is extremely hard for a group like us to fit into certain pockets of that scene due to our image, sound and blood splattering. We are working on bringing a new flavor to that scene and burn down those doors!

UGLY: I Found it hard being an artist who wants to accomplish a unique sound-image-stage performance. There is lots of talent, but it only goes so far if the talent sux to see live. So Sick have struggled our whole careers hearing people say you guys are to much or its to intense! I don't respect many acts that only focus on one piece of the package...A group needs to push the envelope in every aspect., I feel like it took forever to find 3 guys with the like minded attitude as So Sick, and I am very blessed to find 3 like minded insane fresh freaks.

VOODOO DREW: We've been extremely lucky! We have had alot of support from our sickos. Breaking any market is difficult, but when you add in the So Sick element ie: blood, gore, titiies and mayhem, industry people tend to be extremely cautious using a group like us. Luckily, we have the public on our side, and the industry has no choice now but to listen.

2 What about Juggalos you can't possibly avoid the comparison what's your take on the faygo, the hatchet , the lettes and the grease paint?

Chris So Sick: We love it all. We are all solid fans of ICP and the Dark Carnival. They influenced us all!!!. MFWCL to all juggalos and juggalettes.

Ugly: We have all grew up watching this scene struggle and to finally witness it taking over is awesome and they deserve all the love they get...Cant say im much for drinking cheap pop, but its funny how they own that lol. All the juggalos and Lettes are great! They're such a great group of weirdos. I love how they bring U in, U do not get to just be part of it, those fans come to you and accept you on their own, and I love that.

Voodoo Drew: I love Faygo!!!..lol...I am a huge fan of Twiztid, ICP, Dark Lotus and all the psychopathic artists. Big influences both musically and personaly. I have nothing but respect for those guys, however contrary to what some doucebag critics think, I believe we are bringing something completely different to the table. I am honoured that the juggalos have accepted So Sick. MCL.

3 How about this lets set shit on fire on stage? I am often told that, how about you? I think fire would make you guys more bad ass..

Chris So Sick: We would love that. Hell ya light it up!

Ugly: Were slowly building our foundation of power, to eventually control all aspects of the stage once we get to that spot, there will be no holds barred. It would be nice to light more then just a joint onstage.

Voodoo Drew: If I had my way there would be more joints on stage!!! We actually have a hot chick that breathes fire on stage with us!! She has a great ass too! More fire the better! If we had the production budget, there would be more pyro on our stage than KISS and WWE. Respect to Ace Frehley!!! R.I.P. Andrew "Test" Martin.

4 Toronto does seem to have a love for Horror and freak culture I hear your playing the after dark film fest after party and for Rue Morgue during Fan Expo what a freak to expect there

Chris So Sick: Expect one hell of a show, Tom Savini and So Sick on the Same bill? You know we are going to bring our A game. There will be Blood!

Ugly: Were all about mixing Horror and reality into one big ball of controversy. So Sick performances are that of a murder scene at times, its very gory, very bloody. We get cut all the time, we almost stab one another jumping all over the place with dangerous objects! We keep eachother on our toes at all times.

Voodoo Drew: You can expect music, gore and female nudity!!! We will be debuting some new songs at these shows. Really looking forward to seeing all of our Toronto sickos and all our sickos coming from all over Canada and the US to see us at the festival!! Especially the hot so sick chix......Giggidy!

5 Let's make a horror movie, you guys wanna be the killers? We can get some naked girls to run around and scream as you guys chase em with chainsaws, what do you think? What would your characters be like.

Chris So Sick: Watch the new SO Sick Video for “ Kill” which debuts later in August.

Ugly: I would go by myself UgLy. I would be ruthless, relentless, and totally sick at my killings, I would enjoy slowly tearing off skin of any bitch in any movie or even if its just "IN MY BASEMENT" Im a sick fuck and very proud.

Voodoo Drew: Characters???? Shit brother, you just described my last Saturday night!

6 Now tell us about your "sick club" who are you freaks, I mean each of you, roll call please AND what can we expect from you guys?

Chris So Sick- The man who walks in shadows and pulls girls pigtails.

UgLy Koerner- I am an artist who takes my roll in this business extremely serious on every note played and performed, I have a reputaion for being someone U DO NOT even try to get in a group with, because everyone knows I do not fuck with my art, its the only thing my whole life ive actually been %100 sure about. U can expect insanity on a level where U will constantly question what is real and what is not...I joke I have fun, but I dont fuck around with my music career.

Drew: I didn't create Voodrew. You created me!! This is not a gimmick. The people that hate me, the people that doubted me have only made me stronger. I feed off of that. You have been replaced by our army of Sickos worldwide! Now get ready to wake up one morning and have me or one of our minions standing over you.........

RIOT: Well ummm (looks around no one standing near with a knife) ok fuck cool, see you bitches at the FESTIVAL OF FEAR
NOTE: I did see them at the After Dark show and I love that girls come on stage to show their boobs in love of the band, good for you guys)

6 Questions with Justin of Blood Sucka Jones

Better late than never I say.... It's your buddy Riot and as you may have noticed my fellow freaks and geeks that Slamreport.com had a bit of a crash. I had a few interviews that never got posted and the rest were lost cause , well I am stupid and did not back them up. I will be posting the ones I do have backed up soon but, just very recently spoke with a crazy kid called Justin on this fang dangeled internet the other day. He tells me about this movie about a jive cat that slays vampire bats? I am like... what's this crazy film you speak of.. he tells me Bloodsucka Jones and he is directing it, so I says..... DDDAAAMMMNN tell me more.... and he did.....

QUESTIONS 1 :

RIOT : Straight up tell us whats up with this film, does it take place in the present or past and what about the hero? Yes that's alot for a first question but that's how we roll here at Slamreport.com

JUSTIN : Hello my Canadian friend. OK enough kissing ass. The film takes place in the present but our main hero Bloodsucka Jones is a comic book vampire hunter from the 70's with huge afro, red turtleneck, and blue leisure suit but most of his coolness is contained in his white leather wristbands and unicorn belt buckle. He shows up just in time with his sexy sidekick Vanessa to help two bumbling vampire hunters fight an army of stuck up douche bag vampires so one of them can live happily ever after with his gorgeous new vampire girlfriend.

Question 2 Jim Kelly and Wesley Snipes are fused together what would happen?

JUSTIN: They would become Jesley Kipes and would be 47% less cool than Bloodsucka Jones but the Jim Kelly side would eventually tire of the Wesley Snipes side and beat it to death forever having to carry around the carcass of half a Snipes.

Question 3: Tell me about the ladies, this flick has to have ladies screening and shakin boobies.... tell me aaaalll about it.

JUSTIN: This is really what it is all about. We have Jessicka Dercks who is the gorgeous blonde sweet girl next door or is she? Maria Canapino the tiny sidekick of Bloodsucka Jones who never speaks a word but lets her short shorts, black boots, and leather halter top do her talking. Last but not least Erin Holt the evil stuck up vampire who can't quite keep her shirt on. Those are just the leads we also have an army of scantily clad leather and lace vampires who only do one thing and that is kill everyone and everything and on top of that there are random amazing girls around every corner of the film. This just might be the best looking film of 2010 if you like gratuitous eveything.

Q4: Marketing what are you doing to market this movie and make up drool like Vampires at a blood bank for this.

JUSTIN: We send out pictures and info to websites and one of the main reasons for our success so far was the Brad Miska from bloodydisgusting.com he had read our script in the screamfest script competition and liked it so he encouraged us a lot
to make them ovie and he has promoted it every step of the way and from that it has exploded everywhere. We also get to do cool interviews with people like you who really care about movies and just love cool stuff and help get the word out. We actually went to Comic Con in San Diego a few weeks ago to promote but it was sold out so we walked the lobby and passed out flyers. Bloodsucka Jones could not step ten feet without being bombarded with picture requests and new fans. Just as it was going crazy we were detained by security and Bloodsucka Jones had most of security and six police escort us out of the convention center just drawing more attention to us it was awesome.

Q5 is a two in one Where do you get your inspirations from for the scenes in this movie AND whats your favourite 70s expliotation film?

JUSTIN: The inspiration comes from everywhere. I write down funny things I hear or situations I get into or get inspired by great movies and also by really bad movies because when you see a horrible Movie you can say "I can do better than that". We want to make another Lost Boys or Fright Night and hope people forget stuff like Twilight. The the main rule we have been following is if the idea sounds too crazy or stupid to do then that is what we should do. There has been a lot of improv as well that really adds a lot to the film. My favorite exploitation film maybe Coffy or Race with the Devil.

Q6 Are the 70s back to stay ? Whats next for you after Bloodsucka jones.

JUSTIN: The 70's are not back but it is cool when they pop up once in a while because you forget how cool it was. After Bloodsucka Jones it looks like if we can make back enough money we will be making a sequel.

RIOT:Thanks again and remember stay bloody stay cool and aaallllways stay crazy

JUSTIN: THANKS A LOT!!!! LONG LIVE THE SLAMREPORT!!!

Riot: Why thank you sir, good luck and keep the bloodsuckas at bay with your jive turkey skills :)
